AND CALLE PALO FIERRO

September 13 - 21 , 2017 - 7:00am-4:00pm

Addition of new gas laterals on South Palm Canyon. Inside eastbound
and northbound Lane to be CLOSED with traffic control and
NO PARKING as required. Traffic will be diverted to center lane
|during construction. Contractor to notify surrounding residents
as needed to shut off gas periodically during construction.

INDIAN CANYON DRIVE BETWEEN

SAN RAFAEL AND TRAMVIEW ROAD

August 21 - September 21, 2017 - 7:00am-4:00pm

Landscape crews will be installing irrigation and landscaping
in the road median and east side of the road for Miralon Development.
Expect periodic lane closures along NORTHBOUND LANES during the work.

Geotech crew will be taking boring samples on
OUTER BRIDGE LANES for new South Palm Canyon
Bridge replacement. Traffic will be reduced to
ONE-LANE EACH WAY during the work.

Traffic Control for Construction Zone
will begin at Mesquite Avenue and at Sunny Dunes Road.

After the arterials above are completed City contract crews from
Mariposa Landscaping will spread out city-wide to include
City parks, parkways, public streets, City owned properties,
medians, assessment districts, etc.  Intermittent lane closures may occur.

Please remain vigilant of crews working on the sides of the roads.

Motorists can make trips a little safer by remembering the following work zone safety tips.

  • Do not speed in work zones; obey the posted speed limits.
  • Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
  • Watch for workers; drive with caution.
  • Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
  • Avoid using mobile phones while driving in work zones.
  • Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
  • Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
  • Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
  • Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
  • Anticipate lane shifts, and merge when directed to do so.
  • Be Patient and SLOW DOWN in construction zones!
